The conducted immunity test system is the latest new solution from DARE!! Instruments. It is compact, modular and cost effective EMC test systems for Aerospace/Aviation (DO-160), Military (MilStd. 461), Automotive (ISO/IEC 11452-4) and EMC (IEC61000-4-6).

This system is based on the RadiCentre modular EMC test system including the new RadiAmp RF power amplifier and RadiMation EMC Test software. All system components are ‘State-of-the-Art’ technology, offering a flexible and high quality test system which is very easy to use.

The Conducted Immunity Test Bundle consists of the following Radi-products:

• RadiCentre 2-slot multifunctional and modular EMC test system
• RadiGen RF signal generator
• RadiPower BCI1004A power control and monitoring interface
• RadiAmp solid state RF power amplifier with integrated directional coupler
• RadiPower USB RF power meter
• RadiMation Lite CI test software, with automatic report generator

The RadiCentre is equipped with a TFT color touchscreen which controls and displays all above-mentioned system components in an easy and intuitive way. The RadiCentre system also has an USB and LAN interface (GPIB optional) so the system can be controlled via a Windows PC with RadiMation Lite CI test software. This modular approach offers a very cost-effective system solution with complete flexibility and a very high user-friendliness!

The RadiAmp

In cooperation with the German manufacturer Bonn Elektronik, a major player in the field of RF power amplifiers for more than 40 years, DARE!! Instruments developed a range of RadiAmp solid state power amplifiers covering a frequency range from 4 kHz to 400 MHz, with output power ranging from 25 watts up to 200 watts. The RadiAmp is 3U-high, which is the same as a RadiCentre 2 or 7 slots, its depth is 550 mm and weight is 22 kg.

The RadiPower BCI Control Card

Part of the Conducted Immunity Test Bundle is the RadiPower BCI control plug-in card, which enables the manual control of the amplifier via the touchscreen display and remote control via the USB or LAN interface of the RadiCentre. Beside this the plug-in card has three USB inputs to connect RadiPower USB power meters; for forward-, reflected- and sensing power metering.
Each CI Test Bundle standard includes one piece of RadiPower USB RF power meter for accurate and fast measurement. next to that for the adjustment of the 'forward power' offered to the coupling device (CDN, current injection probe or EM101 clamp).
Optionally, the system can be expanded with additional RadiPower USB RF power meters to measure the reflected power and/or the test current / voltage that is injected into the cable. These separate RadiPowers USB power meters have a wideband measuring range from 9 (*) kHz to 6 GHz and can also be used individually for other RF power measurement applications. (*) 4 kHz optionally.

Software Management and Automatic Reporting

As part of each CI Test Bundle a RadiMation CI Lite software license is included to configure, run and store the conducted immunity tests. The tests results can be processed into a customer-specific test report with the help of the automatic report generator. A simple push on a button does all the work and ensures quick and error-free test reporting!
